The McCallum Made Squatter, an ideal way to raise meat birds.
Inspired by the pastured poultry farming method, we have begun production of the Squatter Model. At over 8.5 square metres this gives you sufficient space to be running meat birds as a commercial operation or just producing them for fiends and family.
If you are looking to raise up to 70 meat birds, then the Squatter has been designed with you in mind. Reasonably light weight, and with an assembly time of only 30 minutes, the fully welded and galvanised Squatter ensures over 10 years of maintenance free chook housing.
This lack of maintenence makes it an extremely efficient metod of raising broilers - 4 crops of broliers a year over ten years of production means your housing costs are under 30 cents per bird. And by raising your broilers with a Pastured Poultry system, you can save up to 30% of feeds costs compared with a stationary chook house.
