The over-centre wheels in the raised position, raising the pen 80mm off the ground.

By simultaneously using the wheels and the trolley jack, your entire pen is raised to a uniform 80mm for moving, which keeps the chickens inside and still allows for good ground clearance. The weight of th pen is taken by the trolley jack, keeping the effort required to move the pen to a minimum. All you have to work on is where to go next! *This is a patented product.

EAT: Four young laying hens housed in our chicken tractor will eat 400grams of layer pellets per day. A 20 kilogram bag of layer pellets costs approximately $10.00 and over the course of a year they will consume 9 bags, costing $90 per year.

LAY: Each day four laying hens will lay approximately 3 eggs, totalling 89 dozen eggs per year. In a supermarket free range eggs cost approximately $5 per dozen. Therefore you have just produced $445 worth of eggs for just $90.
