McCALLUM MADE Chicken Tractors grew out of a home-based business started by Gregory McCallum in 2006. His wife Bethany needed a chook pen, so her creative husband put his mind to the job developed a mobile pen, easily moved with a unique mobility system. Bethany was so impressed with the pen that shortly thereafter she suggested he build another and sell it. Immediately successful, Gregory was encouraged to build more pens and was soon working on them full time. Due to his uncompromising, quality workmanship, ex-shed builder Gregory has worked full time in his homebusiness since September 2006. Famous for over-engineering, the farming family of McCallum men passed down their skill to third-generation welder Gregory and his strong, durable pens soon received such good feedback that word-of-mouth sales were mounting and the need for extra staff developed. Several reviews and features of our product in magazines like Grass Roots, Earth Garden and Gardening Australia brought positive feedback and the popularity of our pens continued to grow.

Today McCALLUM MADE employs six staff to help manufacture our quality product. Proudly owned and manufactured in Australia, McCALLUM MADE has worked hard to earned its reputation for quality, honesty and integrity enjoyed today.

FREE RANGE EGGS ARE CHEAPER TO GROW THAN BUY

EAT: Four young laying hens housed in our chicken tractor will eat 400grams of layer pellets per day. A 20 kilogram bag of layer pellets costs approximately $10.00 and over the course of a year they will consume 9 bags, costing $90 per year.

LAY: Each day four laying hens will lay approximately 3 eggs, totalling 89 dozen eggs per year. In a supermarket free range eggs cost approximately $5 per dozen. Therefore you have just produced $445 worth of eggs for just $90.
