Once you decide to order a chicken coop Melbourne and Victoria residents have several options when it comes to freight.
If you are interested in purchasing a chicken coop Melbourne and Victoria residents have a few different options to choose from. The simplest, easiest and cheapest option is for me to freight it to one of our freight depots in the State and for you to collect it. On the map below please click on the closest blue marker to where you live and the current freight charges will be shown.
Assuming you decide to use the option outlined above (collection from one of the depots), this is the procedure.
- I will freight the chicken coop Melbourne bound at a time that suits both of us, usually 24-48 hours after your order. The Dandenong depot will then onforward your purchase to the correct depot.
- The freight company will be provided with your mobile number and asked to call you once the shipment arrives.
- You should receive a call from the freight company 1-3 days after despatch.
- Please make sure that you have a tray back ute or a trailer when you arrive to collect the shipment.
For almost all the depots listed on the map, I can arrange freight from the depot to a factory nominted by you PROVIDED that the receiving location has a forklift AND it is located in the metro zone surrounding the depot. This factory delivery option is approximately an extra 50% of the Sydney to your depot freight charge. The freight company defines the metro region as it sees fit, so if you want to know if you are in the metro region for a particular depot please call me prior to ordering.
Option 2 – Some local home delivery
If you live within 45 minutes drive by car from either the Dandenong or Campbellfield depots I can arrange for your purcahse to be home delivered using a third party contractor. If you are up to 10 minutes drive from the depot then the home delivery charge will be an extra $30. If you are up to 45 minutes drive from the depot then the home delivery charge will be an extra $60. These drivers will drive up to 4 hours from the depot if required but you will really need to get a quote from me before placing your order.
Please note, we can always arrange delivery to a business or factory address which has unloading facilities. Therefore, if you cannot collect your order from a depot, but you have a relative who works at a business which regularly unloads trucks, ask us for a freight quote to that location. If you are a farmer the local rural merchandise store will probably accept the delivery for you.
